A Hallucinogenic Descent into Modern Dread from the Psychedelic Prophet of the Airwaves Cathode Ray Eyes—the shadowy solo project of Ryan DelGaudio (The Cult of Dom Keller)—returns with a scorched-earth release / compendium that is ‘The Apocalypse Will Not Be Televised’, a feral mix of fuzz-drenched psych, dystopian post-punk, and lo-fi garage that channels the chaos of a world on the brink.

Crafted in isolation and crackling with raw analog energy, The Apocalypse Will Not Be Televised is less a record than a transmission from the edge. Guitars snarl and shimmer through warped VHS static; drum machines stutter like failing satellites; vocals echo from a bunker buried deep in the subconscious. This is music for the end times—or the start of something weirder.

"The title came to me while watching the news one night," says DelGaudio. "It felt like we were witnessing the collapse in real-time, but through this filtered, numbed-out screen. This record is my attempt to pull the plug and scream into the void."
