This isn’t just a repress it is a talisman. It's a slab of sonic archaeology dragged from the undergrowth and reborn in shimmering silver and venomous green. At the heart of it all: Rewilding, arguably the band’s most essential and cohesive transmission to date. A record that doesn’t politely knock at your door; it kicks it clean off the hinges and floods the room with blown-out amplifiers, motorik paranoia and jet-black psych incantations. And now? It returns in a super-limited deluxe edition so dangerously good-looking it ought to come with a warning label.

After years in the wilderness, Dead Sea Apes don’t so much return as erupt, claws out andamps blazing to deliver what might be their most essential and tightly coiled statement yet. Forged back in 2009 and long since embedded in the marrow of the modern psych underground, they’ve shared stages with the righteous fuzz-lords and noise evangelists from Part Chimp to Acid Mothers Temple always carving out a sound that mutates at will: psychedelic punk sneer one minute, experimental dub séance the next, freeform squall dissolving into hypnotic loops and drones that coil like smoke in a locked room.

After a scattershot blitz of collaborations and split transmissions, Rewilding sees them snap back into the primal geometry of the power trio, Brett Savage’s guitar howling like a short-circuiting transmitter, Jack Toker’s bass rumbling from the tectonic underlayer while Chris Hardman’s drums drive it all forward with ritualistic insistence.

Opener “Denialist” hits like a hijacked emergency broadcast, all sirens and scorched circuitry, before the album barrels forward into monolithic rhythm assaults and squalling, apocalyptic guitar sermons. The title track pounds with tectonic insistence. Guitars wail, black psych noise billows outward while the rhythm section rhythm section shifts from tight, claustrophobic motorik throb to a full-bore, runaway juggernaut that feels less played than unleashed.

These aren’t polite psychedelic meanderings. These are blackened pearls forged over three turbulent years, music that feels carved from our disorienting present with nature clawing back ground while human madness spirals outward.
