Cardinal Fuzz and Little Cloud Records are proud to bring to you for your listening pleasure – Dark Fog – ‘Escape Into The Psychedelic Landscape’.
Hailing from Chicago – Dark Fog were formed in 2003 by Ray Donato (Vocals/Guitars/Glockenspiel/Special Effects) and feature Kettering (Bass/Echo Bass) and Robinson (Drums/Echo Percussion) who have in ‘Escape Into The Psychedelic Landscape’ created one mind fuck of a psychedelic freak-out. Dark Fog produce a dark, psychedelic vibe that evokes among others - Amon Düül II, Spacemen 3, My Bloody Valentine, Dinosaur Jr. - all are successfully absorbed to generate one continuous sound surge that vibrates through the decades.
As soon as the first sound on opening track ‘Paper Mirror’ hits your ears Dark Fog are here to feed your head with Donato’s frenzied, ululating guitar playing like rocket fuel for the spirit, powering it up to levitate right out of your body (you will not be surprised to hear Ray makes his own fuzz pedals) – while the Rhythm section creates a frenetic throb that never EVER lets up. With Dark Fog there is no respite - you need to prepare yourself and strap yourself in for this trip.
This isnt an Album - it's an acid-drenched Religious Experience
One to file with the really heavy gee-tar overload lp's in your collection (High Tide/JPT Scare Band/Vulcan…)
150 Pressing – Heavy Vinyl, 350gsm Matt Laminated Outer Sleeve with DL Code (one bonus track)
This is the soundtrack to being trapped in a mudslide on crystal meth in the middle of the worst thunderstorm you've ever seen. Whereas I don't recommend that you ever put yourself in that situation, I do recommend that you GET THIS RECORD and imagine what it would be like to be that fucked. GREAT STUFF!" (Reckless Records)
